Over the past decade, community-based programs serving over 80,000 low-income savers have proven that matched savings both raise savers' aspirations and improve their ability reach their goals. However, no national marketing campaign has yet rallied the support of individual donors, who provide nearly 80% of all philanthropy in the United States, for matched savings to support educational goals. 1:1Fund will change everything. We understand that youth that learn about money are more likely to be savers when they reach adulthood. We will be launching an innovative, self-sustaining platform that leverages the power of capital for social change. This match savings platform will generate charitable donations to double the savings of working people with a life changing goal, such as becoming the first in their family to pursue a college education.
